Ven. Pomnyun Sunim, a renowned mentor known for his instant question-and-answer sessions, will be holding lectures this spring, 2024 in New York, Boston, Dallas and Washington DC. West cost cities will be visited this September, 2024.

Ven. Pomnyun, a monk and leader in social relief, environmental, and unification movements, founded the Jungto Society in 1988, a Buddhist practice community where he provides spiritual guidance and engages in social activities. He currently chairs the Peace Foundation, a research and educational institution for unification; The Korean JTS(Join Together Society), a private organization fighting hunger and illiteracy; Good Friends(좋은 벗들), an international peace, human rights, and refugee support center; and EcoBuddha, an environmental group. He is also guiding Dharma teacher of the Jungto Society.
Since the 2000s, he has become famous as a mentor through his instant Q&A lectures, helping people find their own answers through dialog. His book, including “The Monk’s Wedding Speech”, “Mom Lessons”, and “It’s okay to wander”, have become bestsellers in Korea. He has also received the Magsaysay Award, often referred to as the Novel Peace Prize of Asia, for his various relief efforts.
